According to L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi, Norwich City are set to complete a deal to sign Ui-jo Hwang (31) on loan from Nottingham Forest. The South Korean’s move to Norfolk will be a loan move lasting for one season only.
The former Bordeaux forward joined Nottingham in 2022 and was immediately loaned to sister club Olympiacos. Les Girondins were forced to sell the attacker due to their financial difficulties which saw them relegated to Ligue 2. After making 12 appearances on loan in Greece, the 31-year-old then spent the second half of last season back in his homeland with FC Seoul. Ui-jo Hwang made 18 appearances in the K League, scoring 4 goals.
The South Korean international is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for Nottingham following his move from Bordeaux and it looks to remain that way for at least another season with Ui-jo Hwang now set to join EFL Championship side Norwich City.
