It appears things are all set with Adrien Thomasson’s move to Lens. According to Fabrice Hawkins, the 29-year-old French midfielder transfer will come in around 5 million Euros. The midfielder has made 122 league appearances with Strasbourg since he arrived in 2018.
Thomasson did not train with his club today further signalling his exit. He will reportedly sign a 4-year contract with Lens after his medical examination, which should be this Wednesday or Thursday. The central midfielder is a key player with his current team and finding a suitable replacement for the already struggling Strasbourg will be difficult.
For Lens, this move strengthens their roster to help them battle PSG for the Ligue 1 title. As a player, Strasbourg’s number 10 is a versatile midfielder who can play as a central midfielder or higher in an attacking role. He can also play in a wide position depending on what formation Lens coach Franck Haise chooses. At only 29 years old, the Ligue 1 veteran is a great addition to the Lens project.
