Having arrived on the last day of the transfer window last summer, English defender Joe Bryan will be leaving OGC Nice to re-join his parent club, Fulham. A statement from the Ligue 1 side has announced his departure this morning.
He played 10 games for Les Aiglons, scoring a goal against Partizan Belgrade in the group stage of the Europa Conference League. His loan spell, however, was not a resounding success, with most minutes this season going to Melvin Bard or Youcef Atal at left-back.
The Englishman will be going back to the Cottagers to challenge Antonee Robinson for a place in the lineup, but will most likely be seeking another club this summer. Having been a player in West London in their promotion season back in 2019, the Bristol City academy graduate was soon replaced. Alongside Ross Barkley, Nicolas Pépé and to an extent Aaron Ramsey, Joe Bryan had been another example of the Premier League-focused transfer policy implemented by INEOS at Nice.
