Official | Lyon’s Romain Faivre loaned to Lorient

Lorient have announced the six-month loan of out-of-favour Lyon attacking midfielder Romain Faivre (24), with no permanent option has inserted into the deal. Les Merlus have reportedly paid €1m for the loan move of the former Stade Brestois playmaker. Ligue 1’s sixth-placed side are a major player in this transfer window, with the Brittany outfit selling promising winger Dango Ouattara (20) to Premier League side Bournemouth in a €27m deal. Free-scoring Nigerian forward Terem Moffi (23) is expected to depart for a similar amount of money, with Nice leading the race to sign Ligue 1’s second best goalscorer with twelve strikes.

Lorient have this Friday announced the signing of OM Senegalese international striker Bamba Dieng (22) for a fee reported to be set at aroud €7m, a figure which can potentially rise to €10m when add-ons are included.

This Saturday, Faivre’s arrival was made official. The player Lyon paid €18m for since his breakout performances with Brest will try to revive his career with the Régis Le Bris-led side.
