Official | Oleg Petrov steps down from Monaco role

Oleg Petrov has stepped down from his role as the Vice-president of the administrative council at AS Monaco, it has been announced.

The Russian has also stepped down from his position as the club’s representative of the European Club Association (ECA). His resignation has been accepted by club president Dmitry Rybolovlev. Juan Sartori, the co-owner of Sunderland and son-in-law of Monaco owner Rybolovlev will take over as Monaco’s ECA representative.

Ben Lambrecht, who took over from Jean-Emmanuel de Witt to become the club’s CEO in December 2022, as well as Stéphane Morandi, the president’s advisor, join the administrative council as new members.

The council met on Monday and elected Rybolovlev’s daughter and husband of Sartori, Ekaterina Satrori Rybolovleva as the new vice-president of the club. She has been working with the council for almost 12 years.

Petrov replaced Vadim Vasilyev as vice president in 2019 but saw his role at the club changed during the summer with a restructuring taking place. Petrov has now left the club completely and is now collaborating with the Principality’s basketball team, AS Monaco Basket.
