As announced via an official club communiqué, Ligue 2 side Paris FC have signed defensive midfielder Sékou Sanogo from Red Star Belgrade on loan until the end of the season.
Sanogo started his professional career playing in the local Ivorian league for Africa Sports before moving to Switzerland and spent 9 years there, playing for three teams: Thoune, Lausanne Sports and Young Boys Bern. With the latter, he won the Swiss championship twice and got to play Champions League football.
Since joining Red Star Belgrade he has made 99 appearances and won the Serbian championship twice along with the Serbian cup.
The Ivorian has made four appearances in the Champions League qualifier this season as well as four Europa League appearances, bringing a wealth of experience to the underperforming Ligue 2 side, who sit 13th in France’s second tier.
