Reims have tonight announced the signing of French striker Myziane Maolida, on a loan deal from Hertha Berlin until the end of the season.
The former French youth international has three appearances in the Bundesliga this season, his only goal of the campaign so far coming in a German cup appearance. He made the move to the other side of the Rhine from Nice last summer, and appeared 14 times in his debut season, scoring once.
The Lyon youth graduate’s previous Ligue 1 experience saw him score three times in 22 appearances for his formative club, and register five in 63 games for Les Aiglons. He now joins a Champagne side who are very much on the up, with Reims under new Anglo-Belgian manager Will Still currently unbeaten in 12 matches in Ligue 1 under the 30-year-old, a run that has seen them draw twice against Paris Saint-Germain.
