Official | Toulouse sign Swiss midfielder Vincent Sierro

Toulouse have announced the signing of BSC Young Boys midfielder Vincent Sierro (27). Sierro is the third player to be recruited by Les Violets this January after defenders Warren Kamanzi and Gabriel Suazo.

The 27-year-old Swiss played 21 games with the Bern-based outfit this season, scoring three goals and registering one assist. He won the Swiss Super League twice, in 2020 and 2021, and the Swiss Cup in 2020. He has already played European competition and was part of the BSC Young Boys side that defeated Manchester United in the Europa League two seasons ago.

Sierro is a box-to-box midfielder, in the same vein as 27-year-old Dutch midfielder Branco van den Boomen, whose contract with Toulouse expires at the end of the current season. Sierro has reportedly signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Philippe Montanier-led side, and may feature for the Occitanie side this Sunday afternoon when Toulouse traval away to Strasbourg for Ligue 1 gameweek 20.
