Promising Troyes forward Wilson Odobert (18) has signed a contract extension with the City Football Group-owned outfit, and is now tied with ESTAC until 2027, the club has announced. A former Paris Saint-Germain youth product, Odobert signed his first professional contract with Troyes on a free transfer last summer from PSG. Trading academy league football for Ligue 1 competition is no mean feat, but the Meaux-born player has settled in nicely with the Aube side, scoring three goals and registering two assists in 18 games played.

Odobert is a versatile striker, who is able to play centre-forward or on both wings. He became the second youngest Ligue 1 goalscorer this season behind Monaco’s teenage sensation Eliesse Ben Seghir (17). Odobert is set to feature at U19 International level with France for the Euros qualifying fixtures at the end of March. Fourteenth-placed Troyes will host second-placed Lens this Saturday for Ligue 1 gameweek 20.
