Jordan Lotomba (25) has returned to first-team training ahead of OGC Nice’s fixture against Montpellier HSC on Friday night. The Swiss international has been absent since suffering a thigh injury against Olympique de Marseille in late October.
Lotomba suffered the injury in the first half of the 1-0 victory over Les Phocéens and was substituted for Pablo Rosario, who has deputized for the Swiss international in the past two games. However, whilst Le Gym have won their last two games in Ligue 1, retaining their top spot in Ligue 1, they are now set to get a boost with Lotomba’s return.
In Wednesday morning’s training session, attended by Get French Football News, Lotomba returned to training with the first team two days before the match against Montpellier. “We hope he will be available to face Montpellier,” said manager Francesco Farioli. Alexis Claude-Maurice, who was in contention to face Stade Rennais last weekend before ultimately missing out, is still absent and will therefore be unavailable to face Les Pailladins on Friday, as confirmed by manager Farioli in Wednesday’s press conference.
