Paul Pogba injured for Juventus 23 minutes into his first start for a year

It has been another blow for France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba who has once again left the pitch injured as he started his first game in 390 days. Pogba, who was enjoying his first start since his return for Juventus, was forced off with an injury during the first half of the Italian side’s clash against Cremonese.

Pogba reportedly left the field in tears, according to RMC Sport, clutching his left quadriceps after a cross in the opponent’s penalty area. The club’s medical staff provided initial treatment on the field for his left thigh, and Pogba left the field with his face covered by his shirt, accompanied by the applause of the Juventus Stadium crowd.

This unfortunate injury adds another layer of frustration to Pogba’s already difficult return to Juventus. After overcoming a lengthy knee injury earlier in the season which meant he missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the midfielder was eager to make a positive impact on the team.

However, his hopes were dashed when he was forced to leave the field early, leaving doubt as to the severity and potential impact of the injury.
