Predicted Lyon XI v PSG: Alexandre Lacazette leads the line for visitors

Usually, a trip to the capital to face league leaders Paris Saint-Germain would be the centrepiece of a team’s week – but Lyon have bigger fish to fry on Wednesday. With Laurent Blanc’s men adrift in tenth place, their only hope of avoiding a third straight season out of European competition will come through their Coupe de France semi-final against Nantes.

Nevertheless, for his return to the Parc des Princes, Blanc is expected to field his best eleven, as he looks to build his team’s match fitness after the international break. The only uncertainty, L’Équipe report, is whether Les Gones will take to the pitch with a four-man or five-man defence, with the latter option potentially including Sinaly Diomandé. Alexandre Lacazette leads the line, flanked by Bradley Barclola and Rayan Cherki. Corentin Tolisso, who has struggled with injury of late, is expected to sit the game out, while Maxence Caqueret is unlikely to see out the entire game.

Lyon likely XI v PSG:

Anthony Lopes – Saël Kumbedi, Dejan Lovren, Castello Lukeba, Nicolás Tagliafico – Johann Lepenant, Thiago Mendes – Bradley Barcola, Maxence Caqueret, Rayan Cherki – Aleandre Lacazette.
