According to Le Parisien, PSG is continuing to restructure their academy set-up with the appointment of Luca Cattani, who is a close ally of head scout Antero Henrique and was formerly a recruiter for the club. He returned last summer as the sports director of the PSG training academy. His role has now reportedly been expanded, similar to that of Yohan Cabaye, who will be his assistant.
On Monday afternoon, the appointment of Luca Cattani as the new director of the Paris Saint-Germain academy was made in front of the training centre employees. He is taking over from Jean-François Pien, who recently left the club in November.
Former PSG and Newcastle player Yohan Cabaye, who was previously the sports coordinator, has been promoted and will be Cattani’s assistant.
Le Parisien also report another incoming appointment to the youth academy Cyrille Carrière, who has a proven track record in contributing to the rise of players such as Flavien Tait, Romain Faivre, and Jonathan Gradit.
