PSG decide to sell Kylian Mbappé

Foot Mercato are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have decided to sell Kylian Mbappé (24) this summer after the France captain informed the club that he wouldn’t be triggering his one-year extension.

Mbappé informed PSG through a letter earlier this week that he wouldn’t be triggering the extension that was included in the contract he signed last year. Consequently, Mbappé would be available on a free next summer. Les Parisiens want to avoid a situation, and according to Foot Mercato have now taken the decision to sell Mbappé.

The AS Monaco academy product had intended on seeing out the final year of his contract. However, those plans are now in tatters following PSG’s reaction to the explosive letter, which according to Foot Mercato, has angered the club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He has therefore come to the decision to sell Mbappé, whilst the management of the club are also in agreement that cashing in on the France international is the correct course of action. However, Mbappé’s entourage are aware that the situation could change.
