PSG offer role to Paolo Maldini following Milan departure

According to Italian journalsit Gianluca Di Marzio this morning, Paris Saint-Germain have offered a position to former defender Paolo Maldini, who was recently dismissed as Milan’s Technical Director.

The Italian, who spent his entire playing career with the Rossoneri, had rejoined the club in 2018 in a management role, and was instrumental in building the team that would win the 2021/22 Serie A title, their first in 11 years.

According to Di Marzio, Maldini has received proposals from both the Italian national team set-up and the Ligue 1 champions. He is currently on holiday, and has yet to make a decision on his immediate future. The nature and responsibilities of the two positions he is being offered are unknown for the time being.

Currently, PSG’s transfer business is handled by sporting advisor Luís Campos, who was brought in last summer in the wake of Kylian Mbappé’s contract extension to replace former sporting director Leonardo.
