PSG set to rival Manchester United and Bayern Munich for the signing of Randal Kolo Muani

PSG are interested in pursuing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker and France international Randal Kolo Muani (24), according to a report from Le Parisien and L’Equipe. Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also said to be in the race to sign the sought-after 24-year-old forward.

The Ligue 1 champions are in the market for a versatile striker, who would be able to play as an out-and-out forward or on the right wing. Les Parisiens previously failed in their pursuit of Marcus Thuram, who has joined Inter, and have now set their sights on making Kolo Muani’s signing a priority. PSG have also been monitoring Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. However, the Tottenham striker will either stay in North London or leave for Bayern Munich, whilst it will take €180m to prise the Nigerian international from Napoli.

Le Parisien report that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Sporting advisor Luís Campos and Kylian Mbappé (24) would welcome Kolo Muani with open arms. The former Nantes forward embodies what Les Parisiens are looking for in the market: a young French player with a very high potential, and who happened to grow up in the Greater Paris area. Kolo Muani is tied to Eintracht with a contract set to expire in 2027. The Bundesliga club reportedly want to make Kolo Muani their record sale, overtaking the €63m outlay from Real Madrid to sign Luka Jovic in 2019.

L’Équipe believe that Kolo Muani would be open to listening to PSG’s sporting project pitch. This has grown in clarity lately with the imminent signing of Spanish manager Luis Enrique. However, the French publication understand that the Bondy-born striker is very interested in making a move to the Premier League.
