L’Equipe are reporting that Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur will complete the signing of promising Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic (16). The 16-year-old was previously identified by Paris Saint-Germain Sporting advisor Luís Campos as a high-potential young player. The 59-year-old Portuguese reportedly tried to conclude a deal with Vuskovic’s club – Hadjuk Split – to bring the promising defender to the French capital.
The Croatian international U17 will instead commit his future to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur. The North London club will reportedly pay a combined €10m transfer fee including bonuses for Vuskovic. The latter was also under Champions League and Premier League winners Manchester City’s radar. The highly-coveted youngster is already playing for Hadjuk Split’s first team.
L’Equipe understands that Vuskovic will rejoin Split on a loan deal. The outlet adds that the centre-back will link up with the Spurs once he turns 18, on February 24, 2025.
