PSG are showing interest in South Korean international and Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae (26), according to a report from Foot Mercato. It is no secret by now that Paris Saint-Germain will look for defensive reinforcements this summer, with Sergio Ramos’ (36) future still undecided and Presnel Kimpembe (27) out for several months with an Achilles’ tear. The Spaniard is keen to extend his stay in the French capital. Whether the former Real Madrid player renews or not, PSG have already a replacement lined up with Slovakian international Milan Škriniar (28) joining Les Parisiens as a free agent after seeing out the remainder of his contract with Inter. But PSG may be on the lookout for another Serie A defender.
According to Foot Mercato, the contract that Kim signed with Napoli last summer, following his €18m switch from Fenerbahçe, includes a peculiar clause. The latter stipulates that, from July 1 to July 15, 2023, the South Korean will be available to foreign clubs in exchange of a transfer fee estimated at €53m. The information, revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, has not gone unnoticed and PSG are very interested in bringing Kim to the Parc des Princes, and we’re not talking about Kim Kardashian.
The outlet adds that PSG have other leads to fill the gaps at the heart of their defense. Sporting’s Portuguese defender Gonçalo Inácio (21) is being courted, with the Lisbon club holding out for his €45m release clause, as well as Villarreal’s Spanish stalwart Pau Torres (26).
