Sonia Souid, a football agent who accused former president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noël Le Graët, has defended herself against allegations from Le Graët that she was somewhat being “manipulated” into making her statement. She told AFP that she felt a form of harassment from Le Graët, and that her testimony was not staged.
Souid’s accusations against Le Graët, including his insistent behaviour towards her during phone calls and professional meetings, were made public in early January and led to an investigation into allegations of sexual and moral harassment. Le Graët resigned from his post as president of the FFF following the investigation.
“Everyone who knows me knows that no one can control me,” Sonia Souid told AFP. Yes, Noël Le Graët has behaved very inappropriately. What I said to the inspectors was that what I felt was a form of harassment. I was subjected to a form of harassment. He has to take responsibility.”
