As reported by Foot Mercato, a trio of Premier League clubs are interested in poaching AC Milan’s French defender Pierre Kalulu this summer.
Currently away with the France U21 squad at the European Championships, the former Lyon right-back is attracting significant interest with Milan open to letting the player go in the event of a good offer. Now 23, Kalulu failed to make a senior outing at OL but has managed more than 100 in Milan since moving in 2020, adding three goals and three assists in that time.
Since joining the Italian club, Kalulu has become more of a dynamic centre-back, switching between both roles, usually in a back four, under Stefano Pioli and helping the club win the Scudetto last year. However, some average form as seen Kalulu lose his guaranteed starting spot in the Milan team in recent months but he would likely still fetch a fee of around £25m to £30m.
His ability to switch seamlessly switch between full- and centre-back will be highly-regarded by the three unnamed Premier League sides as many clubs look to deploy hybrid three- and four- man defences.
