Foot Mercato are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain sporting consultant Luís Campos is set to meet the agent of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen (24) during the upcoming international break.
The Nigerian international is enjoying the best season of his career. He has scored 25 goals and registered five assists for the Serie A side this season in just 29 matches. That form has caught the attention of many of Europe’s elite, and with his contract expiring in 2025, he is one of the most sought-after forwards in world football.
Whilst there is the possibility of Osimhen remaining at Napoli, PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea are all interested in rising him away from Italy. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly demanding a €150m fee for a player that was signed from Lille OSC in 2020 for €80m.
PSG, who are constricted by financial fair play, may find that asking price hard to meet. However, Campos, whose PSG future is uncertain, is set to meet with Osimhen’s entourage during the international break. Les Parisiens are very interested in the player, despite the price, and Campos knows Osimhen’s agents well.
Manchester United, who are also looking at Harry Kane and Randal Kolo Muani, would be more willing to pay the asking price demanded by Napoli, whilst Chelsea are also in the mix. Like PSG, the Stamford Bridge club aren’t in a position of strength, according to Foot Mercato.
Osimhen himself is dreaming of a move to the Premier League and is reportedly wary that a move to PSG would harm his chances of achieving that dream in the short term.
