Wilson Isidor’s (22) proposed transfer from Lokomotiv Moscow to Olympique Lyonnais has hit a snag, according to Foot Mercato. The former AS Monaco forward does not want to move to Les Gones, but to FC Lorient, although intermediaries and his current club are pushing him towards Lyon.
It had been reported by L’Équipe that Lyon had reached an agreement to sign Isidor from the Russian outfit. Laurent Blanc’s side are in desperate need of offensive reinforcements following the departure of Karl Toko-Ekambi to Stade Rennais, and Romain Faivre’s impending loan move to Les Merlus.
Whilst Les Gones have reached an agreement with Lokomotiv Moscow, the player is reportedly opposed to joining. According to Foot Mercato, Lorient, who have agreed a paid loan deal for Isidor, is the Rennes-born forward’s preference. However, he is being pushed instead to join Lyon, against his will. Isidor, who wants to play under Régis Le Bris at a high-flying Lorient side, has also refused an approach from German side Schalke 04.
