Former FC Barcelona midfielder turned Sporting Director and football agent Deco has refuted a possible move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé (25), as reported in Foot Mercato.
Speaking on Catalan radio station Esport3 regarding a possible Barcelona move for Mbappé:
“We’ll see. It would be an error to sell Frenkie De Jong or Ronald Araujo to get Kylian Mbappé. It would make the team worse.”
As much as it’s hard to imagine PSG’s record goalscorer making any team worse, it’s even harder to imagine Mbappé in a Barcelona shirt, given that GFFN understands that a deal is in place with arch-rivals Real Madrid for a summer move to the Spanish capital.
PSG’s star has 30 goals in 29 games in all competitions this season and has been the subject of a protracted transfer saga between the French champions and Madrid for several years. The deal is expected to be announced officially in due course.
