‘I am counting on Real Madrid’ – Emmanuel Macron hopes Kylian Mbappé will feature at Paris Olympics

Kylian Mbappé’s decision was finally announced. The Frenchman would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, and while the destination of his next club was omitted from his statement, no one will be surprised to hear it’ll be Real Madrid.

It is an open secret that Mbappé will be joining the Spanish giants. However, confirmation of this fact will likely have to wait until after the Champions League final, as Madrid do not want the signing of their new star to distract from the achievements of their current team

It is a move that will put Mbappé’s place at the Paris Olympics in doubt. Real Madrid have been clear that they do not want their players competing at the tournament, while at PSG the Frenchman would have been free to represent his nation in a competition hosted in the city where he was born.

Emmanuel Macron wants Kylian Mbappé at the Olympic Games

The President of France Emmanuel Macron has once again put pressure on Madrid to release Mbappé for the Olympics. In a video where he addressed viewers’ questions, Macron stated “I am counting on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympic games so that he can come and play with the French team.”
