Kylian Mbappé makes sacrifices to secure Real Madrid move

Following the video announcement of Kylian Mbappé (25) confirming his departure from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, his long protracted move to Real Madrid is now all but confirmed, with the Spanish champions expected to make their own announcement after the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1.

Kylian Mbappé to take pay cut to secure dream move to Spanish Capital

According to Spanish publication AS, the Frenchman is going to take a pay cut of around a third of his PSG salary, meaning that he’ll be earning around 15M€ net per season with the Spanish champions, as well as around 80% of his image rights, which will represent more or less the same amount as his salary.

Despite the drop in salary, PSG’s all-time record goalscorer will still be the best paid player in Real Madrid’s dressing room, ahead of other top earners such as Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham.
