Liverpool line up PSV’s Johan Bakayoko as Mohamed Salah’s replacement

According to the French outlet Sports Zone, Johan Bakayoko (21) is on Liverpool’s shortlist as they look to revitalise their project under new head coach Arne Slot.

The departure of Jürgen Klopp as the club’s manager after an eight-and-a-half-year stay at Liverpool will bring certain changes to the club. Even after an impressive season where the club lasted in the title race until near the end of the campaign, there was the sense that a rebuild would be coming this summer.

Bakayoko looks like he could be one of the players to herald a changing of the guard as the club are reportedly in the market to bring in a Mohamed Salah (31) replacement. The recruitment team in Merseyside alongside their new manager appreciate the PSV right-winger.

Mohamed Salah remains committed to Liverpool

Despite this news, Salah has made it clear on his social media that he remains committed to the club and wants to continue next season, as he stated “We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.
