Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette receives ‘un-refusable’ Saudi Arabia offer

Alexandre Lacazette (32) has been one of the architects of Olympique Lyonnais’ revival in the second half of the season. This season, he has 18 goals and three assists in 29 games in all competitions, but could this season be his last at the Groupama Stadium? RMC Sport understands that this could potentially be the case.

By the end of the season, Lacazette will have just one year remaining on his contract at Lyon and clubs are circling. Los Angeles Galaxy are fans of the former Arsenal forward and members of the club’s hierarchy had made a trip to see the player last autumn.

However, no concrete approach has been made by the MLS side. The same cannot be said of Saudi Arabian sides. According to RMC Sport, two clubs have made concrete steps to sign Lacazette this summer. The player’s entourage has told RMC Sport that they possess one “un-refusable” off from a Saudi club. Lyon have been made aware of the situation and Lacazette, who did not expect such offers, will listen to the proposals.

However, for now, the Lyon captain remains fully focused on the job at hand. OL are currently seventh and in the midst of a race for the European places, whilst they will also face Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France final in late May.
