Manchester United to face competition for Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo from Atlético Madrid and Milan

In Nice, they are prepared for a bidding war this summer. After an impressive season, Jean-Clair Todibo (24) is hot property with several clubs from around the continent courting his services ahead of the summer transfer window. According to L’Équipe, Manchester United are set to face competition from Atlético Madrid and AC Milan for the France international’s signature in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the 24-year-old. The Nice centre-back was a potential target for Manchester United in the summer of 2023 and still remains high on their list of targets this summer. However, the Manchester-based club cannot expect a clean race to Todibo’s signature.

Atlético Madrid have made the Frenchman their ‘priority’ target for central defence ahead of the summer transfer window, L’Équipe report. In addition, AC Milan are also big admirers of Todibo and could be on his list of potential suitors in the summer. Manchester United could have a potential advantage in the race though, with Nice also being owned by INEOS.

Are Tottenham still in the race?

Tottenham Hotspur were heavily interested in the Nice centre-back in the January transfer window. Nevertheless, with Les Aiglons unkeen to negotiate, Todibo stayed put at the Allianz Riviera. According to L’Équipe, Spurs are monitoring the situation of Todibo ahead of the summer transfer window but it remains to be seen if they will reactivate their interest.
