Marseille set €13 million price tag for Ismaïla Sarr

Olympique de Marseille are willing to allow Ismaïla Sarr (25) to leave in this transfer window for €13 million, despite the Senegalese international only joining in the summer from Watford

Marseille have previously been reported to be keen to offload one of their attacking players in January, with reports suggesting that Sarr or Vitinha (23) would be the most likely candidates.

This is because the club, are increasingly cautious about their wage bill which is being monitored by the DNCG, and as a result, it is thought they will need to sell one of their players before being able to reinforce before the end of the current transfer window.

Allowing Sarr to leave may well be necessary if Marseille are to continue in their efforts to sign Giovanni Reyna (21) from Borussia Dortmund. However, according to Fabrice Hawkins, current interest in the Senegalese winger has been limited to Villarreal’s attempt to secure a loan deal.

Marseille would much prefer a sale as it would better help them address their aims before the deadline day, and have set their price at €13 million, a total which would include bonuses.
