Official | Tiago Djaló completes Juventus transfer

Juventus have completed the signing of Tiago Djaló (23). The Portuguese defender leaves Lille OSC after four-and-a-half years spent at the club.

It had been expected that Djaló’s future would be resolved this month. The Portuguese defender’s contract with Lille was set to expire at the end of the season and there were no signs of a renewal forthcoming. The January transfer window therefore represented the only opportunity for Les Dogues to receive a fee for the promising centre-back. According to Italian media, Lille will receive around €3.5m for the player.

Due to a cruciate ligament tear suffered in April 2023, Djaló hasn’t featured for Les Dogues this season. He had been nearing a return, but having completed his move to Serie A giants Juventus, he will not feature for Les Nordistes again.

Djaló, who won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in 2021 and made 103 appearances for the club, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Juventus.
