Paris Saint Germain players already focused on next week’s second leg

After the disappointing 3-2 home defeat to FC Barcelona in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter final first leg, Paris Saint Germain players were already projecting ahead to Tuesday’s return game in Spain’s second city, according to sports daily L’Équipe.

In a light training session ahead of a day off on Friday, the players discussed defensive positioning, an aspect of the team’s game that left a lot to be desired against Xavi’s rejuvenated Barcelona team, with full focus having turned to preparing the second leg as Luis Enrique’s side do not have a league fixture this weekend.

PSG coach Luis Enrique will be hoping for somewhat more dynamism in his team going into Tuesday’s second leg, with the Parisians hoping to create a “Remontada” situation of revenge for the heartbreak suffered at the hands of Barcelona back in 2017, the Blaugrana ironically then managed by the Spanish coach too.

The return leg will be played in Barcelona on Tuesday night, kick off 8PM.
