Real Sociedad predicted XI v PSG: Mikel Oyarzabal back from injury, Hamari Traoré’s return

The return of Mikel Oyarzabal means that Real Sociedad can rely on a fully fit side to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. There had been much anxiety on both sides of the Pyrenees about the status of La Real’s captain for very different reasons, and his return to lead from the front will represent a serious boon for the Basque side.

There will be a familiar face for Les Parisiens as Hamari Traoré returns to France after leaving Stade Rennais over the summer. The former captain for Rennes helps to complete a prominent threat down the right-hand side as the fullback’s overlapping runs bring balance to Takefusa Kubo’s ability to cut inside from the wing.

Martín Zubimendi will anchor the midfield with Brais Méndez and Mikel Merino taking up more advanced roles. Zubimendi has become one of the most sought-after technicians in the game, and his ability to control and dictate the tempo will be crucial in what could be a balanced contest.
