Yusuf Yazici responds to AC Milan links ahead of Lille OSC departure

Yusuf Yazici (27) will leave Lille OSC at the end of the season, bringing an end to a five-year spell in the North of France. The Turkey international has been linked with a move to AC Milan and speaking to So Foot, he has responded to those rumours.

Despite finding himself in competition with talisman Jonathan David up front, Yazici played a considerable role in what will be his final season at Lille. In 42 appearances in all competitions, he scored 12 goals and registered four assists, helping Les Dogues assure a top-four finish in Ligue 1 and also guiding the club into the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

However, he will now leave Lille after rejecting the proposition of a contract extension at the club, Get French Football News understands. Paulo Fonseca is also expected to leave Lille this summer and he is set to join AC Milan. Could Yazici follow Fonseca to the San Siro? The Turkish forward is appreciated by Fonseca and in an interview with So Foot, Yazici addressed the rumours.

“I still have a lot of dreams in football. Of course, you can’t be insensitive to clubs like Milan. It’s Ronaldinho, it’s (David) Beckham… We’ll see what the future has in store for me,” said the soon-to-be free agent.
